We know that we can get coupons from the Sunday Paper, but did you know that there were ALL of these ways to get coupons? Here is your guide to all the different types of coupons out there. There is a printable page of this here that you can view as well.

Manufacturer: These are printed on paper and generally found in the Sunday paper.





Internet, Internet Printable, IP or Printable Coupon: These are manufacture coupons that you print at home. Generally you may print each two times. You will be required to download their software in order to print the barcodes on the coupons.

Clipless: These are coupons that you load to your customer loyalty card. These coupons CANNOT be used more than one time, are redeemed ONLY at face value and can be combined with paper manufacture coupons. These are also redeemed at face value.


Peelie: These are coupons that are attached to products. To remove them you need to “peel” them off.


Blinkie: These are coupons that are by products at the store. You pull them out of little machines, and then another one comes out.

Tearpad: These are coupons that are next to products in a pad form that you can take and use.
Catalina: These are coupons that will print at the register from a separate machine. Even though these are considered “manufacture” coupons, they are store specific, meaning you can only use them at the store specified on the coupon.
Store These are coupons that are good only at that store. Walgreens or Target are good examples. You can combine a store coupon with a manufacture coupon on the same product.
Cash Register Tapes or CRT: These are found at the bottom of your receipt. Generally these are at Target and CVS.
Booklet/Pamphlet: These contain recipes or other information along with coupons. They are generally found near a display at the store.
Found Inside Magazine: These coupons are found in a magazine. All You is one of the most popular magazines to get high value coupons!
Found Inside Package: These coupons are located inside the package and you cannot access it generally until the package has been opened.
Snail Mail: These are coupons that come to your mailbox from the manufacture.
Hang/Winetag: These are coupons that hang around bottles. Not all winetag offers require an alcoholic purchase. Some may also be around soda pop bottles.
