FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do coupons come with my monthly subscription?
No, coupons do not come with your monthly subscription. Depending on where you live, we may or may not have a deal worked out with the local paper. However, we offer an option for you to purchase coupons from us, which we can mail to you each week. Email info@couponsense.com for more information.

How many Sunday copies should I get each week?
The general rule of thumb is to get one Sunday insert set for each member of your family. We recommend getting at least three sets of coupons each Sunday, but once you’ve been using the program for a while, you’ll figure out what works best for your family.

How do I change my billing?
Contact our billing department at billing@couponsense.com to change your billing information.

I cannot pull up the weekly newsletter, message boards or any of the reports. Help!
If you’re having trouble seeing any of these screens, please make sure that your pop-up blockers are turned off. Also, make sure that you do not have a toolbar with pop-up blockers turned on.

I have a Mac. Will Coupon Sense work?
We have several subscribers that have Apple Computers. Please know that these computers tend to have more pop-up blockers built in, so make sure that you have those settings set to allow pop-ups for CouponSense.com.

How do I get rid of stores or coupons I know I won’t use?
To change your store or coupon settings, go to the “My Account” section and choose “My Settings” on the left. Here you can change coupon, store and category settings. See our helpful YouTube video Customizing Your Shopping List

Can I sort the columns on Create Shopping list?
Yes, just click at the top of any column to sort by that category. See our helpful YouTube video Column Sorting

How do I print My Shopping List?
Once you’ve built your Shopping List and added any personal reminders, it’s time to print it and get prepped for the most efficient and rewarding grocery shopping trip ever. Just click on the “Print My Shopping List” button; a new window will open up containing personalized Shopping List. Generally, lists include a minimum of two pages: the first page is your Shopping List broken down by store and by category. The second page outlines which coupons you’ll need to clip for your list. NOW it’s time to pick up those scissors! See our helpful YouTube video Printing Your Shopping List

I tried to print and nothing came up.
First check to see if your pop-up blockers are turned off. Once they are, a print window should appear when you click “Print My Shopping List.”

I tried to print and got an error message.
If you have a toolbar on your Internet browser, the pop-up blocker on your toolbar is creating the error message. Remove the pop-up blocker and you will be able to print.

If I click on the number next to the product in the Shopping List will the coupon print for me?
Yes and No. Internet Coupon numbers (ex IC1032) in the Shopping List are clickable links and will take you to the website where you can find and print the coupon. When you click on other coupon numbers, such as coupons from the newspaper (ex A204), a prompt will appear telling you where you can locate the coupon in your inserts.

What is a Coupon Sense Rebate Account?
Rebate accounts are our way of rewarding Coupon Sense members for sharing our program with friends and family. You can receive credit on your account for referrals, hosting workshops or for any other incentives that are available in your region.

Rebates are accumulated over time. Once a minimum amount has been achieved, you will be able to withdraw that money from your account. For example, if you earned $25 in rebates for referring new customers or hosting workshops where new customers signed up and the minimum withdrawal amount is $15, then you can request a withdrawal from your rebate account in any amount between $15-25. Please note though, that if you request $20, the additional $5 in your account will remain there until you’ve earned an additional $10 in rebates or until your Coupon Sense account is cancelled. The minimum withdrawal limit exists to reduce the administrative costs of processing rebates, since each rebate request has to be manually processed.

Coupon Sense is a great program, but it is just not for me. How do I cancel?
Click on My Account, and choose “Cancel My Account” under My Profile. Please note that we require three business days to honor your cancellation request.

How soon can I expect to see savings on my grocery bill?
It takes at least a few weeks to build up a stash of coupons, which is why most subscribers start to see savings after the first two months. While the biggest savings don’t happen overnight, you will have a full pantry and more money in your wallet.

I found out about a deal too late and kicking myself. How do you balance everything?
Keep in mind that deals come and go. Don’t be upset if you miss out on one. Sales generally repeat every three to six months and deals repeat and rotate from one store to the next. Most stores have deals on the same items, and often the differences aren’t more than a nickel. Once you accumulate a stockpile of coupons, you will know what you need and don’t need for your family.

I am so overwhelmed by all the stores I have to visit. How does everyone do it all?
Don’t worry, and don’t be so hard on yourself. No one does it all. Most members pick a couple grocery stores and one drug store and are still able to get the savings they want without feeling the need to run all over town everyday. And remember it’s less stressful to go grocery shopping late at night or early in the morning, as you’ll be able to avoid the long lines and crowded aisles.
